Groupwise Web Access
Select your Groupwise mail server:
If for some reason, you cannot login to your "default" GroupWise WebAccess, you can use another center's GroupWise WebAccess. (For example, if Charlottetown and East's GroupWise WebAccess is down, you could use the Tourism and Culinary's or Summerside and West's). With that said, PLEASE stick to your "default" WebAccess when you can for speed, stability and load balancing reasons. Thank you.
Web Access FAQ:
1. Why do I get SSL/Certificate errors, how do I get past them?
For our Groupwise Webaccess, we secure our pages using our own "in-house" certificates which are self-signed. Because they are self signed and not signed by a 3rd party like Verisign, GeoTrust, Thawte etc., your browser displays a certificate error.
If you are using:
- Internet Explorer v6 - When browsing to the website and you are prompted with the SSL certificate warning, click on "YES" to accept the certificate.
- Internet Explorer v7 - When browsing to the website, you can safely click on the "Continue to this website (not recommended)"
- Firefox v2 - When browsing to the website, you will be prompted with a security warning about the site being certified by an unknown authority. You can safely accept the certificate permanently by choosing "Accept the certificate permanently" and click OK.
- Firefox v3 - When browsing to the website, you will receive a "Secure Connection Failed" error, you will need to add an exception. Click "Or you can add an exception" --> Click "Add Exception..." --> Click "Get Certificate" --> Ensure the "Permanently store this exception" box is checked --> Click "Confirm Security Exception"
2. I'm unable to see mail messages but can see the folders and top toolbar.
This may occur with Windows Vista and Internet Explorer version 7 (IE7):
You will have to reset your browser's default setting as described below:
Tools menu/button --> Internet Options --> Advanced Tab--> Choose the "Reset..." button --> OK .
When finished, restart IE. (**NOTE** this will disable all 3rd party add-ins, clear cache history etc and reset everything back to factory defaults. This will not affect favorites.)
After reseting IE back to defaults you may also want to enable SSL 2.0 Tools menu/button --> Internet Options --> Advanced Tab--> Scroll down to the Security section --> Check "Use SSL 2.0" --> OK .
3. I'm getting session timeout errors / I have to login multiple times before the 20 minute automatic timeout.
This is probably due to a browser/cookie issue. Make sure your browser is accepting cookies for the site. Also try clearing the cookies and clearing the cache/temp files (if you need help with this please contact Computer Services).
Also make sure you are not navigating the site using the forward and back buttons.
